Located in the center of the Chicken Farm Art Center, the Silo House Restaurant is housed in the old renovated grain silos. It was opened in 2000, With only ten tables, it is an intimate setting with fresh flowers, soft candlelight and often live music by our singing waitress Tamara. Artwork from Gecko Gallery decorates the restaurant and is for sale.
Dinner is served weekly on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights beginning at 6:00. Reservations are required and dress is West Texas Casual. We feature a prix fixe menu of five courses with a choice of two appetizers, two soups, salad, four to five entrees and three desserts. The menu changes every week and customers can call ahead and request any favorite dishes. Prices range from $38 to $43 per person and sometimes a little more for high end items such as lobster tail and veal. We do not have a liquor license so customers are welcomed to bring their own wine, beer, or cocktails for which we provide mixers. Also, some local wine merchants print our menu weekly and are happy to help you pair your wine with your dinner choices.
Lunch is served in the Artist Courtyard every first Saturday of the month featuring the only commercial wood fire pizza oven in town. We also serve cold drinks and burgers outside and the restaurant is open from 11:30 - 2:00 with a fancier fare lunch featuring fresh soups, salads, sandwiches (our famous Bacon, Lettuce and Fried Green Tomato Sandwich with Chow Chow Mayonnaise) and a healthy entrêe for the very hungry with plenty of dessert choices. Bring the kids, a bottle of wine and enjoy the courtyard with live music by the Chicken Farm Pickers.
Catering is available on and off site.
